We had our annual UTA tour on Wednesday, October 2. What a fun and interesting time. We all boarded a “SPECIAL” Trax train which delivered us to the Jordan River Rail Service Center. Box lunches and drinks were there for everyone. There was a very nice conference room where we were given a very interesting presentation.
Topics that were discussed included the history of the Trax lines in Salt Lake City, ridership, planned expansions and existing lines. We were then taken into the control room where all trains are monitored. After that we were shown the repair areas. We said our good-byes and boarded the train again which took us back to Draper.
We want to thank UTA staff for a memorable experience and a delicious lunch. We look forward to a new tour next year.
